Jesus is the World’s Only Savior
Obama Is No Savior

Matthew J. Clark – an artist whose work incites concerns of blasphemy and sacrilege – has created a “rubbery Barack Obama sculpture saddled on the back of a donkey," according to Charlotte Eby, columnist for Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier. She continues, "a pair of black SUVs led the procession and two more trailed behind, Secret Service-style. A couple of the SUVs were decked out with tiny American flags. A few men led the Donkey down the street and a woman made her way along the sidewalk, keeping up with the procession and handing out palm branches to the few perplexed onlookers who had gathered on the sidewalks to see what the fuss was
about."
Titled, A Simulacrum of Hope: Simulation of the Triumphal Entry of the Christ, Clark’s website shows images of this sculpture and causes Christians to shudder in dread and serious concerns over the serious implications of such a project.
Seeming to mock Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem before His crucifixion, this sculpture, the procession, and timing (one day before Obama’s inauguration) all scream of sacrilege. It is sacrilegious to attribute the Christ’s perfection, joyous recognition by the very people whom He had descended heaven to save, and His essential sacrifice to one with serious feet of clay: B. Hussein Obama.
Let’s consider the two side – by – side: Jesus was the Son of God (Matthew 3:17; Mark 1:11; Luke 3:22); Obama the son of divorced parents, abandoned by his natural father at age 2. Jesus is perfect (Hebrews 4:15); Obama is not (he is human). Jesus died and rose again after 3 days (Matthew 16:21; 17:23; Mark 16:9; Luke 9:22; Acts 2:24, 4:10); like all humankind, Obama will die and will be raised again, by the power of God, either to eternal life or eternal destruction (John. 5:26-29), but not in the flesh (I Corinthians 15:44 – 52). Jesus’ perfection allows Him to be our perfect High Priest (Hebrews 2:17, 3:1, 4:14-15); Obama is a dangerously flawed human with agendas that promote the killing of millions of unborn children, the support of homosexuality as a flagrant affront to Christian principles, and the unconscionable rejection of Biblical principles. Jesus will one day judge the souls of all nations (Romans 2:16, 14:10; II Timothy 4:1); Obama will never judge anyone’s soul; only God can judge the heart of mankind. Jesus’ perfection makes Him worthy to be called our Savior and mediator (Hebrews 2:9, 13:21); Obama’s imperfections deserve to be feared and rejected.
This display underscores Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan’s statement in October that when Obama talks, “the Messiah is absolutely speaking”. Reprehensible from all angles, we dare not attribute Jesus’ glory, honor, and deity to a man of any ilk and particularly not B. Hussein Obama.
Many have considered Clark’s processional sculpture as a means whereby we can clearly see the madness of the people who are now worshipping Obama. I warn that even putting time, resources, and talent into such a project is very dangerous and the woman passing out the palm fronds seems to underscore the intent of the message; ‘Obama is coming, worship him’.
May we all come to an understanding of the critical need for repentance and returning to God before it’s too late! Jesus Himself told us that ‘unless you repent, you shall all likewise perish (Luke 13:5). Following mortals in spiritual matters and manners has always resulted in great evil.
Despite the evil and unsettling changes in our country and world today, we can have hope! By turning to God – on His terms – through humility and repentance, we are promised:
The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as
some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward
us, not willing that any should perish but that all
should come to repentance. (II Peter 3:9)
Do you have the ears to hear, the mind to question, and the heart to change? We pray you do and will before it’s too late! Don’t let the arrogance and evil intents of mankind keep you from spending eternity with your God, your creator, and His Son.
