Geraldo Rivera was being interviewed on radio and the topic was illegal aliens.  Having personally never been a fan of Rivera's after this interview I am definitely not. Rivera is very pro-illegal alien and wants to make them legal in America.

In the interview Rivera said that the reason Republicans and John McCain lost the elections last November was because of their stand on illegal aliens. He also said that the stand on illegal aliens that the Republicans have taken was talk radio driven. Yes, Geraldo it was because talk radio normally talks about what topics their listeners are interested in and listeners are against illegal aliens being in this country and all the problems that come with them being here.

Rivera went on to say that even in these tough economic times Americans wouldn't do the jobs that illegal aliens do.   That unemployed Americans won’t pick fruit or clean bathrooms.  That statement helps explain one of the problems in America today. Too many people even uneducated people think they're too good to do low paying unskilled jobs.  We have the liberals with the Great Society to thank for this attitude.

Back in the day when I was younger to earn money I've dug ditches and loaded boxcars. Translation, I was taught you do whatever it takes to earn a living and you do it to the best of your ability. Beginning with the Great Society and all the welfare handouts from the government people decided they didn't have to work anymore the government would take care of them.

Also with the Great Society came the decline of ethics, morals and Christian values in America.  All Christians believe in helping those who need help but it's time for these people to start helping themselves also. It's time for the younger generation to get a good education not the public education state run education we have now but a good education and for people to take responsibility for themselves.

People need to learn a work ethic again, not the “government will take care of me ethic”.  It's time for people to stop asking or waiting for the government to do everything for them. It's time for those who don't stand on their own two feet to start standing on their own two feet and not expect those of us who work to take care of them.

It's time for America to go back to Christian values, ethics and morals. Working America stand up and defend what you have earned. Don't let a liberal government take from you who work and give to those who think they're too good to work.
