Students Threatened With Suspension For Private Prayer

The radical liberal left Democrats are attacking private prayer by two consenting adults.  When did private prayer become so bad as to warrant suspension from college?  Why are the radical liberal left Democrats so afraid of prayer and Christians?

Kandy Kyriacou and Ojoma Omaga of the College of Alameda in Alameda, near Oakland received letters notifying them of the college's retroactive "intent to suspend" plan.  These letters provided no facts on which to make such a threat, listing only vague references to "disruptive or insulting behavior" and "willful disobedience."

This started in December of 2007 when Kandy and Ojoma went to a professors shared office to give her a gift.  That is when the student’s nightmare began.  Kandy went in the office and the professor said she was ill.  Kandy offered to pray for her.  The professor lowered her head and Kandy began praying.  That was until another faculty member walked in to the office.

Derek Piazza, walked in and said, 'You can't be doing that in here!' Kandy quickly left and rejoined her friend and fellow student, Ojoma Omaga. Piazza followed Kandy outside and repeated his rebuke.  What was Kandy doing that was objectionable to Piazza?

During administrative hearings school officials informed them that Kandy Kyriacou was being disciplined for praying for the sick teacher. Ojoma Omaga was not part of the prayer, and her offense apparently was that she was with Kyriacou a short time later.

A lawsuit was filed when the college refused to rescind the letters, leaving the students in peril of suspension or expulsion for any other offense, such as praying on campus. The decision from U.S. District Judge Susan Illston turned back college attempts to deny the students a hearing on their complaint. The Pacific Justice Institute, a public interest legal group and Bergquist, Wood and Anderson a Walnut Creek law firm are handling the suit for Kandy and Ojoma. 

America these young ladies were threatened with expulsion from college for a private prayer.  The radical liberal left Democrats are afraid of anyone having beliefs in a higher being.  This is against their radical socialist agenda.  These liberal Democrats know they can’t control you and your mind if you believe in a higher being.

Again it is shown the liberal Democrats have no ethics or morals.  Liberal Democrats only care about their radical liberal agenda.  Liberal Democrats have no Christian values.  They want to lead America away from ethics, morals, and Christian values.
