New Hate Crimes Legislation
Pedophiles Are Protected
America the liberal Democrats in the House of Representatives have passed a new so-called hate crime legislation. The bill is now on the fast track to the Senate. The bill protects pedophiles. In the House of Representatives not one Republican voted for it.
Kevin Theriot with the Alliance Defense Fund put it best: "So-called ‘hate crime' laws actually serve only one purpose: The criminalization of citizens based on whatever thoughts, beliefs, any notions they have that are not considered to be 'politically correct.' No one should fall for the idea that this bill does anything to bring about greater justice for Americans."
Congressman Louie Gohmert told about the radical nature of this so-called hate crimes bill and what happened White House Republicans tried to amend the bill so that it did NOT OFFER PROTECTION TO PEDOPHILES.
"When we tried to get the term sexual orientation narrowed down to where it didn't include something like a pedophile... That was voted down on party lines... There are about 30 different types of sexual orientations, and they can include exhibitionism and voyeurism or things that are so offensive such as pedophilia or necrophilia. The problem is that the supporters of this bill did not want it to exclude any of those and even voted down the amendment that would have excluded pedophilia."
Congressman Gohmert pointed out the absurdity of the legislation as written which would warranted the prosecution of a woman under the federal hate crimes statutes if she hits a flasher with her purse after he exposed himself to her. Exhibitionism is unprotected sexual orientation under this bill.
"The one who did the flashing committed a local misdemeanor," said Congressman Gohmert. "The one who hit him with the purse singled him out because he's an exhibitionist, and therefore she has now committed a federal hate crime and is looking at the felony time."
The same liberal Democrats who wouldn't remove protection for pedophiles have refused to add an amendment to the bill to protect veterans. Being a veteran who has been spit on and called every name there is by the radical liberal left I find it offensive that the liberal Democrats won't protect me but they will pedophiles.
America this bill could prevent your Priest or Reverend from giving any sermons not considered 'politically correct.' They could be charged with a federal felony for say anything from the pulpit about people's sexual preferences or orientation.
Matthew Staver with the Liberty Council claims: "In and of itself this law can be applied to speech. The nature of the assault - putting someone in fear of their safety - what will that mean for someone preaching against homosexuality?"
America this legislation needs to be stopped. It will be before the Senate very shortly. All Christians need to contact our Senators and tell them to vote no on this hate crimes legislation.
