President Bush Kept America Safe



Vice President Cheney said, "To the very end of our administration, we kept al-Qaeda terrorists busy with other problems. We focused on getting their secrets, instead of sharing ours with them.  And on our watch, they never hit this country again."

Also Vice President Cheney said that tough interrogations "prevented the violent death of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of innocent people." And once again Cheney challenged liberal Barack Hussein Obama to release secret documents that he contends would prove this case.

Liberal Obama released the part of the classified memos that he thought would show his point of view. Why is liberal Obama refusing to show the part of the classified memos that shows American lives were saved?  The reason is releasing those memos will show that President Bush did the right thing by authorizing certain interrogation techniques including waterboarding and others. It would show clearly that liberal Obama is on the wrong side of this issue.

Vice President Cheney bristled over complaints about interrogation from lawmakers, pointing out that leading members of Congress, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, were briefed on the programs and methods. "Yet for all these exacting efforts to do a hard and necessary job and to do it right, we hear from some quarters nothing but feigned outrage on a false narrative. In my long experience in Washington, few matters have inspired so much contrived indignation and phony moralizing as the interrogation methods applied to a few captured terrorists."

"Half measures keep you half exposed," said Vice President Cheney. In the fight against terrorism, there is no middle ground.

Praise was given by Cheney to liberal Obama for two wise decisions -- his handling of the war in Afghanistan and his decision to try to block the court ordered release of detainee abuse photos. Cheney said, "He deserves our support" for such actions.

Vice President Cheney went on to say, the current administration's actions on Guantánamo and other steps in the war against terrorism "should not be based on slogans and campaign rhetoric, but only truthful telling of history."

Truthfulness, ethics, morals, and Christian values are something liberal Obama, his administration, and the liberal Democrats are sorely lacking.
It has been 7 1/2 years since America has been attacked. President Bush kept America safe for this we all owe President Bush our thanks.
