Saving America Part 7

The Medicare Trust Fund must be restored.  Much like Social Security, Medicare was established with the trust fund meant to provide health care for the elderly.  Again like with Social Security the elitist progressive liberals saw money they could spend buying votes from special interest groups.

Hardworking Americans have money deducted from every paycheck for the Medicare Trust Fund.  The primary reason Medicare is running out of money is because the elitist progressive liberals wouldn’t leave the money earmarked for Medicare alone.  The money taken from hardworking Americans paychecks didn’t go into a trust fund and earn interest as it should have it went into pork to buy votes.

The second problem with Medicare is the huge amount of fraud in the system.  We at SpeakNowAmerica.org have in the past written articles covering the estimated 60 billions dollars of fraud in Medicare each year.  A large amount of this fraud is caused by government bureaucracy and government meddling.

We as hard working Americans need to demand two things from our elected representatives concerning Medicare.  First, the money the government has collected for Medicare and used in other programs must be restored to a Medicare Trust Fund with interest.  This is money taken from hardworking Americans and the elitist progressive liberals have given to the nonproductive.

The second thing is to clean up the fraud in Medicare.  They need to establish harsh penalties for those who abuse the Medicare System.  Whether it be health care professionals, attorneys, or the patients there needs to be harsh penalties to eliminate the fraud.  There also needs to be harsh penalties for those in the government bureaucracy who perpetuate this fraud.

For 30 plus years the latest progressive liberals with the support of groups like AARP have perpetuated the myth that conservatives want to destroy Medicare.  This is a myth and one of the biggest cases of fraud to scare of the elderly there has never been.  The elitist, progressive liberals blame conservatives for what they the elitist progressive liberals are doing and getting away with.

This speaks volumes about the mainstream media and groups like AARP in collusion with the elitist progressive liberals instead of doing their job.  If the mainstream media and AARP had been doing their job in telling America what the elitist progressive liberals had been doing Medicare wouldn’t be in the financial straits that it is.

America demand that your Representatives and Senators take the steps necessary to restore the Medicare program.
