Senator Mike Enzi Speaks Out On Obamacare Health Care
Senator Enzi GOP Weekly Radio And Internet Address
Senator Mike Enzi (R-WY) a Republican member of the Senate’s (“Gang of Six”) used Saturday’s GOP weekly radio and Internet address to sharply criticize the Democrats reform plan. Senator Enzi took the opportunity to speak out on Obamacare health care.
During the address Senator Enzi said the elitist progressive liberal Democrats’ health care proposals “will actually make our nation’s finances sicker without saving money” and would also “raid Medicare” and intrude in the relationship between a doctor and a patient.”
“Across the country, people are concerned about reform bills Democrats have proposed,” Enzi went on to say. “I heard a lot of frustration and anger as I travel across my home state this last few weeks.” He said the Senate should “enact common sense reform that will actually cut costs,” including provisions to help small businesses insure their workers while reforming the tax code and medical malpractice system.
Senator Enzi has introduced the Ten Steps to Transform Health Care in America Act which eliminates unfair tax treatment of health insurance for all Americans, thereby expanding choices, coverage, and control over your health care and increases affordable options for working families to purchase health insurance through a standard tax deduction.
Though Senator Enzi has been deeply involved in the Finance panel negotiations at the invitation of panel’s Chairman Max Baucus (D-MT), he said Saturday, “I hope the President and the Democratic controlled Congress will reject the go it alone path that they are currently on if they do, we’ll have a chance to truly work on a real bill that will address those critical issues.”
