Democrats Over $5 Trillion Deficit While In Control

For fiscal year 2011 Barack Obama’s deficit is projected by the White House to be over $1.6 billion.  It is hard for most Americans to visualize $1 billion dollars let alone $1.6 trillion.  This deficit is 10.9% of all gross national product for the fiscal year.  Since the Democrats took control of Congress this is over $5 trillion in deficit spending.

To put this in perspective if it takes you two minutes to read this article the deficit will grow by $ 6,088,280.06 while you read it. 

If every man, woman, and child in America worked 40 hours a week you would have to pay a tax of $2.33 every hour to eliminate the deficit. That is a tax of $93.20 every week on every man, woman, and child to eliminate the deficit.  For a family of four this is an additional tax of $372.80 a week to eliminate this deficit.

Obama talks about the wicked rich people who make over $200,000 a year. If there are 8 million people making $200,000 a year it would take a tax rate of 100% on them to eliminate the deficit for 2011.

If this weren’t bad enough Obama is purposing another $8 trillion in debt over the next 10 years.  This insane spending will destroy our economy.  Obama is projecting a total debt of over $23 trillion dollars by 2021. 

Obama is heading America into bankruptcy and he’s smiling the whole time he’s doing it.  This is Obama’s hope and change for America.

We have to pressure Congress to eliminate deficit spending.
