Rand Paul Puts Harry Reid In A Box

YouTube: Rand Paul Speaks On Senate Floor

Last Wednesday Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) quietly attached an amendment to the small business reinvestment authorization bill.  The amendment uses Barack Obama's own words from a 2007 speech.  The amendment chastises Obama's actions in Libya.

Paul quoted, in the legislative language, from Obama’s 2007 remarks on the subject: “The President does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation.” According to Paul’s office, “the measure aims to put the Senate on record affirming Congress as the body with constitutional authority on matters of war.”

Republican sources said that Paul’s proposal bewildered Reid, who does not want his members to have to weigh in on Obama’s dusty quote about congressional authority, even if the vote is only to table the measure.

Reid knows the amendment puts him in a box.  The Democrats want to ignore Obama's abuse of power.  Having to vote on the bill with this amendment forces Reid and the Democrats hand.

The abuse of power and corruption from Obama and the Democrats has gone on far too long.  The main stream media refuses to report on it.  They know Obama had no authority for his actions in Libya. They are as corrupt as Obama and the Democrats.

Thank you Senator Rand.
