Senators Want To Punish Koran Burners

It's OK to Burn Bible Or American Flag

Harry Reid (D-NV) says congressional lawmakers are discussing taking some action in response to the Koran burnings of a pastor that led to killings at the U.N. facility in Afghanistan and sparked protests across the Middle East.  “Ten to 20 people have been killed," Reid said last Sunday on CBS’ “Face the Nation.” “We’ll take a look at this of course. As to whether we need hearings or not, I don’t know.”

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said Congress might need to explore the need to limit some forms of freedom of speech, in light of Tennessee pastor Terry Jones’ Koran burning, and how such actions result in enabling U.S. enemies.

YouTube of Graham:

Afghanistan's President Hamid Karzai repeated his call to the White House, Senate and United Nations to bring to justice Terry Jones, the Gainesville, Fla. pastor who organized a mock "trial" that resulted in the burning of Islam's holy book on Friday, officials said.

Reid and Graham need to commit to memory we still have the First Amendment in America.  They seem to keep in mind freedom of speech when Christians are being savaged.  They have no problem with the American flag being stomped in the ground and burned.

While I don't agree with burning the Koran, I do believe in the pastor's right to do it.

It gets tiring that Christians can be murdered, bibles burned, or flags desecrated and you are deafened by the silence.  A Koran is burned and they want to have investigations and strip rights from Americans.  senators like this need to be retired.
