Since Obama's Stimulus Plan- 1.9 Million Fewer Americans Are Working
Over $800 Billion Wasted
Barack Obama's signature economic stimulus plan was passed 28 months ago. Then we had the summer of 2010 declared by Obama to be "Recovery Summer." Since the signing of the stimulus bill 1.9 million fewer Americans have jobs.
In February 2009, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported that 141.7 million people were employed. By the end of May 2011 – the last month for which data are available that number had fallen to 139.8 million, a difference of 1.9 million. Those 1.9 million jobs have been lost despite $800 billion in stimulus spending.
In a Washington Post op-ed, former White House chief economist Larry Summers noted that the percentage of the population that has a job has not improved, even though the economy is technically in recovery.
Inflation is rising. Unemployment is horrible. Gas is over $3.50 a gallon. Summers, the main stream media, and Obama though tell us we are in a recovery.
Obama and the Democrats have increased the deficit by over $5 trillion dollars in less than three years. The wild spending hasn't helped our economy. It and the new regulations from the Obama administration are a horrendous drag on America.
The community organizer who voted present over 90% on his time in the Illinois State Senate is in over his head. He doesn't understand freedom and capitalism. He is most comfortable with socialist philosophies. He shows every day that he hates capitalism.
