There NO Real Cuts And NO New Jobs!

The House of Representatives and the Senate debt ceiling plan is NO good. Is another fake sleight of hand.  Barack Obama gets to spend another $2 + trillion we don't have.  There are no real cuts in it.  Worse it doesn't create one new job and Obama gets to spend, spend, spend.

The "cuts" they are discussing are the usual Washington nonexistent cuts.  The imaginary cuts are from baseline budgeting.  Under these cuts every budget item will go up by approximately 7% even with the cuts.

The Democrats set baseline budgeting up in 1974.  The start of baseline budgeting was the Congressional Budget Act of 1974.  The act required the Office of Management and Budget (OM to prepare projections of federal spending for the upcoming fiscal year based on a continuation of the existing level of governmental services." 

The Act required the Office of OMB to prepare projections of federal spending for the upcoming fiscal year based on a continuation of the existing level of governmental services," meaning no longer could you look back and say, "We spent X on this, and we don't need that anymore, so we're to remove it from the budget." 

The Act also required The OMB  to prepare five-year projections of budget authority, outlays, revenues, and the surplus or deficit. OMB published its initial current-services budget projections. That was the beginning of baseline budgeting.

It has since been extended to 10 year projections.  It assumes an approximate 7% increase each year in every budget Item.  Using the OMB figures the budget will increase by $9.5 trillion over the next ten years.  The Democrats  and too many of the Republicans now assume if you don't increase according to the baseline budget figures you have a budget cut. 

That is what they are doing now with this debt ceiling bill.  They say they are going to cut $1.5 trillion dollars over the next 10 years.  America that means the budget over that time period will increase by $8 trillion.  There are NO real cuts.

Contact your Representative and Senators today.  Tell them NO more baseline budgeting.  Tell them NO to this phony debt ceiling bill.  Tell them we need real cuts.  Those cuts shouldn't come from defense and Medicare. 

Cut the increases of the last two years in the White House employees and wages.  Eliminate the EPA, Department of Agriculture, and the Department of Education.  Roll all other expenditures to 2007 levels.  This would be real budget reform in Washington.

America Washington is bankrupting America we have to stop it  NOW.
