The Tenth Anniversary Of 9/11
A Day For America To Reflect On
I doubt any American who was over the age of 12 or 13 on September 11, 2001 will ever forget it. You will always remember where you were and the sadness and shock you felt.
Everyone's life in this great country changed that day. No longer could we take solace in the fact that never had we been attacked in America. No longer could we take our safety from enemies within our shores for granted.
Who can forget the bravery of so many Americans like the brave Americans aboard Flight 93 who gave their lives in Pennsylvania to save others. How about the images of the brave men and women who lost their lives trying to save others at the Twin Towers in New York City.
Remember the scenes of the first responders, firemen, police, and ordinary citizens who helped in the minutes, days, and weeks following the attack? They risked their lives helping others, they gave of themselves without hesitation in their valiant task of helping strangers and they showed selfless courage and heroism.
We all felt the pain and sorry of the families who lost loved ones that tragic day. Every man, woman, and child who lost their lives are heroes.
The American people united, they offered their prayers, money, and kind words to those who had lost loved ones and to the many who worked tirelessly,
On September 11, 2001 a group of Islamic terrorists woke a sleeping giant. They could never understand America's resolve. On 9/11 we united as only Americans can. God bless the men, women, and children who lost their lives, God bless their families, God bless the brave men and women who risked all to help their fellow Americans.
God bless America home of the free and land of the brave.
America never forget 9/11.
