YouTube: Ginsberg Wouldn't Use Constitution As Model

Members of the U.S. Supreme Court are sworn to uphold the Constitution of the United States. Judge Ginsberg appears to have a problem with our Constitution. She has made other statements that the justices should use the rulings of judges of other countries in decisions she makes. Ginsburg said, "Why shouldn't we look to the wisdom of a judge from abroad?"

"I would not look to the U.S. Constitution, if I were drafting a constitution in the year 2012," Ginsburg said in an interview on Al Hayat in Egypt television last week. "I might look at the constitution of South Africa. That was a deliberate attempt to have a fundamental instrument of government that embraced basic human rights, have an independent judiciary. It really is, I think, a great piece of work that was done."

"Ginsburg's comments are not foreign to her overall philosophy. The justice has previously stated that she weighs foreign law as well as U.S. law when forming a legal opinion." And she talks about "human rights" in South Africa?

The liberal progressives have a problem with our Constitution and they say it is an old out of date document that belongs in a museum. Our Constitution puts restraints on the federal government, which both parties ignore, and tries to prevent the liberal progressives from forming a socialist country. They want a constitution that allows them to do anything they want with no restraints.

Ginsburg is a reason there should be no lifetime appointments to the Supreme Court.
